  • July: Mothers & Daughters Tennis Open

    560 mothers & daughters duos play doubles. Fits of laughter, suspense, intensity and victories punctuated these very lively encounters!

  • First Collection of Mothers & Daughters Short Stories

    This literary contest was the opportunity for over 2 000 women to talk about the special bond that unites mother and daughter. Over 50 short stories were collected in a first anthology. Proceeds from the copyrights went to the not-for-profit organization Vivre comme Avant (Live as Before), an aid movement for women who have breast cancer.

  • First participation in the « Frimousses », a Unicef project

    Comptoir des Cotonniers has taken part since 2004 in the « Frimousses » Unicef project (Small Faces) by creating two dolls, Mother and Daughter, that are auctioned each year in favour of the humanitarian organization.

    Comptoir des Cotonniers made a pop album where 14 duos interpreted famous hits with the guidance of Béatrice Ardisson !

  • Second Mothers & Daughters collection of short novels with illustrations

    Following the success of the first edition, Comptoir renewed the experience and enriched it with graphic creations. The stories are funny, moving, sharp-witted. All copyright proceeds went to Vivre comme avant.

  • First Veja trainers partnership for the winter collection

    It's the story of a love at first sight encounter between two brands with similar values. It gave birth to the first Veja pair of trainers made with eco-friendly leather and organic cotton. Green & trendy !

  • Opening of our first boutiques in Italy, Portugal and Japan

  • Comptoir des Cotonniers joins the Fast Retailing group

    Thanks to its success story, Comptoir joined the Japanese group Fast Retailing, 6th textile group worldwide, which currently owns brands such as Uniqlo, Princesse tam.tam and Theory. This partnership has helped the brand reinforce and develop its presence internationally.

  • First partnership with Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World)

    Comptoir des Cotonniers supports mothers/children missions sponsored by Doctors of the World, by selling a range of « shared products » available in mother, little girl and baby versions for Mothers’ Day. For each product bought, 5€ go to the charity.

  • Launch of the accessory line

    In 2007, birth of a line of steel watches. Comptoir also invented a medallion in brushed silver. Modern in its design, it is worn like a lucky charm.

  • Muuñ basket partnership

    In partnership with the Fair Trade brand Muuñ, Comptoir proposed a colored basket in woven straw. Designed by a Japanese fashion designer, this basket is made by women from the village of Nyariga in the north of Ghana.

2008

  • The Comptoir Minnie

    On the occasion of Mickey's 80th birthday, in January 2008, Disney and Ready-to-Wear Paris invited 80 designers to dress Minnie in their brand colors. Following a « mini » world tour, the dolls were auctioned off and proceeds went to the House of Solenn, which welcomes teenagers in difficulty.

  • Homewear line made with organic cotton

    A line of homewear products exclusively made of organically grown cotton. The result ? An ultra-soft and comfortable cross-over top, nightie and trousers, chiné effect, 100% natural with refined decorative stitch finish.

  • Second partnership with Doctors of the World

    In 2008, the brand renewed its partnership with Doctors of the World by choosing to support more specifically the mission of women and children in Nepal, aimed at reducing mother-child mortality.

  • Mothers & Daughters Recipe book

    In 2008, the brand organized a cooking recipe contest under the aegis of an exceptional jury. Elaborated by Mothers and Daughters, the recipes were new, original and tasty. They illustrated delightful moments of sharing, complicity, leisure and emotion. Copyrights proceed went to Vivre Comme Avant.

  • « The summer queen »

    In Summer 2008, Comptoir des Cotonniers brought out a bicycle and a tandem! Sporting the colors of Comptoir, the resolutely retro bike has a style of its own. As for the tandem, it was created as a humorous hint to mother and daughter duos.

  • A Nabaztag rabbit in Comptoir's colors

    On the occasion of the Ready-to-Wear Paris Trade Fair in September 2008, Comptoir des Cotonniers dressed a NABAZTAG rabbit in the brand colors. Profits from the sale went to the Wild World Fund. Combining fun with usefulness!

    To be ever closer to its customers, Comptoir now offers you the option of online shopping at the website's e-Boutique.

  • Opening of the first boutique in NYC

    Comptoir des Cotonniers opened its first store in the heart of Soho, New York, at the "oh so trendy" n°155 Spring Street, in October 2008. True to its philosophy and brand values of proximity and femininity, Comptoir welcomes its customers inside its 100 m2 contemporary, elegant and streamlined decor.

    Comptoir des Cotonniers and Nu have designed an authentic and feminine pair of jeans. Made of 100% untreated denim, these jeans acquire a beautiful sheen over time. Designed to limit its impact on the environment, its manufacture conforms to stringent regulations.

  • Opening in Bloomingdale’s, New York

    Following the opening of its first boutique in New York in August 2008 on the so trendy Spring Street in SoHo, Comptoir des Cotonniers now opens its first shop-in-a-shop in the department store Bloomingdale’s on the 59th street.

  • New Wave Style Briefs

    A year already! A year after the launch of brevesdestyle.com, the Comptoir blog now offers new contents, a new visual design, more sections, more looks and exclusive interviews.

  • Opening of the boutique Place Saint-Sulpice, Paris

    Comptoir des Cotonniers takes up residence on the legendary Place Saint-Sulpice! Conceived as a left bank Parisian apartment, everything is designed to make women feel at home. True to the Haussmann style, the spaces and volumes were imagined by project architect, Antonio Virga.

  • Leon T-shirts Competition

    A wish! Pay tribute to the brand mascot, the French bulldog. An idea! Send Leon’s picture to graphic art students. Three laureates. One French and two Japanese women (Ecole Dupérré and Kuwasa Design School). Three T-shirts on sale before Christmas.

2010

  • The Spring-Summer 2010 advertising campaign: Mother, Daughter & Fashion

    A mother, a daughter, a shared fashion moment. Two worlds, two styles, two photos which tell two fashion stories around one piece of the collection. All this, in a sassy and playful tone, where the “I LOVE” and “I HATE” appear side by side and echo each other. Signed by BETC Luxe, the first December episode of this campaign is shot by photographer Arnaud Pyvka.
